Painting - Oil On Re-purposed Wood

Description

I collect photos from the American Civil War era to about the mid 1950's and want to paint each and every one of them! This young man appears in one of the photographs- standing in front of an old building. He just looked so dapper! this particular piece-as is all my work-is done freehand. The painting is on re-purposed wood and has rounded corners. This piece is currently in a year long exhibit beginning October 2018!

Thank you Chris, I collect vintage photos and occasionally will paint or draw them. One thing I like about the some of the shots challenge is that they are usually so soft is the softness of the edges, no hard lines. jean
