Description
I did like the feeling that this scene could be moved into the abstract realm or into realism, and I chose a path somewhere in between, using palette knife to produce textures;many impasto layers. I always wanted to live in a little (yellow) frame house at the beach with my art studio facing the ocean! Yellow didn't work in this painting for the house so used the teal!

Yes, I can see how yellow would not have worked but this is a wonderful painting...as you say, somewhere in between the abstract and realism. Love the use of the palette knife.
