Artist's Description
According to Wikipedia, the Bristol Beaufort was a British twin-engined torpedo bomber designed by the Bristol Aeroplane Company. At least 1,180 Beauforts were built by Bristol and other British manufacturers.
They were declared obsolete in 1945. I think it a beautiful aircraft and decided to paint it against a world map from antiquity which I overlayed with sepia tinted layers.
