Description
One of my hobbies is collecting antique tin toys, a special affinity for the ones prior to 1951 as each one I purchase is older than me! I particularly like the hand painted ones as they contain certain 'errors' and it makes them precious. My painting is an assortment of ones I have and a couple which are on my 'wish list' and the painting is simply about never having to leave one's childhood. The most recent collection is the Wimmer Pig shown in the painting-note that none of the pieces are done to scale! All my work is done free hand without projectors, tracings or mechanical aids so the larger ones like this are a bit more of a challenge to execute!
