Title
Secret Parliament of the Seven Magpies
Artist
Jean Cormier
Medium
Painting - Oil, Acrylic, Grease Pencil, Ink On Gallery Wrapped Canvas
Description
From the nursery rhyme about magpies, "One for Sorrow", the painting has seven magpies marching across the top of the work and in the rhyme, "Seven is a secret that can never be told".
Which one of the seniors has a secret, or do they both?. A group of magpies is sometimes referred to as a parliament which is why I called the seven magpies the "Secret Parliament"

Fantastic painting and subject, Jean! And great title. Love to see older people still interested by life in their surrounding milieu. l,f
